Ring around the moon in Kalamazoo

The ring moon in Kalamazoo, 10:45 p.m.

I was reading on my iPad and saw a tweet that everyone should go look at the moon.

I went out on the fire escape of my third floor apartment (it was around 10:45 p.m.) and saw an angel…er just a halo. And it was around the moon.

It was a remarkable sight. I don’t think it means the world is going to end (as one friend told me when I told him about it on the phone). There’s actually an old rhyme about it: When there’s a ring around the moon, rain or snow is coming soon.

And looking at the weather forecast, looks like Kalamazoo is in for some snow.
